Motter wanted the name of her new shop to have a personal touch without actually using her own name, so she decided to use a term that could be applied to both ice cream and her height. Seeing how she’s only 4 foot 11 and has often been called “half pint” by her friends and family, Motter decided the name Half Pint Creamery was very appropriate.
Motter says the main reason why she decided to go into the ice cream business was because she wanted to do something that was happy, and that would give her the opportunity to work with kids and teenagers, explaining how “ice cream is the taste of youth and happiness”.
Here are some pictures of the delicious flavors her shop has to offer:
Trish Motter, the founder of Half Pint Creamery, always dreamt of owning her very own ice cream shop one day.
